CEC members can purchase a set amount of kilowatt-hours in advance and avoid delinquent fees and deposits for service. System alerts notify the member when their kilowatt-hours are getting low and they can call CEC 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to purchase more. Members can also purchase electricity in person at any CEC office during normal business hours Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM until 4:30 PM.
If your pre-pay account disconnects due to a negative balance, you must pay the negative amount plus $10.00 for a credit balance to reactivate your meter. If your pre-pay account remains disconnected for 10 days, the account will go inactive and you must speak with a Covington Electric Member Services Representative to reactivate your account and your meter.
