Payment Options

Automatic Bank Draft

CEC offers Automatic Bank Draft payment of your electric bill. Just a few easy steps and your payment can be automatically deducted from your checking account each month. Members who pay their bill by bank draft will receive a monthly statement indicating the amount to be drafted from their bank account.


Automatic Credit Card Payment

CEC and its subsidiary, CRS, accept VISA, DISCOVER, American Express, and MasterCard payments for all member services.


Budget Billing

CEC offers budget billing to help qualifying members manage their household budgets (an adequate credit rating is required). With budget billing, you pay a predetermined amount each month. Periodically, your budget amount is re-evaluated to make sure you are only paying for the amount of electricity that you actually use. This service is subject to credit approval.


Pay in Person

Visit any CEC office during normal business hours to pay your bill, Monday-Thursday, 7 AM until 5 PM and every other Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM.


Pay over the Phone

CEC members can pay their electric bill over the telephone with no waiting using the automated telephone attendant. When you call any CEC office, you will be greeted by the auto attendant with a list of options.

Pay with CEC mobile App – Covington Connect (Android) or CEC Connect (iPhone)

Download the app here to pay your electric bill using an Android smart phone. Download the app here if you have an iPhone.


Pay by Mail

As always, you can mail your electric bill to Covington Electric Cooperative.

Visit any CEC office during normal business hours Monday-Thursday, 7 AM until 5 PM and every other Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM to pay your bill.


Pay Where You Shop

A fast and convenient way to pay your CEC bill while checking out at participating retailers near you like Dollar General, CVS Pharmacy, Family Dollar, Speedway, Walgreens, Walmart and 7 Eleven. Ask any CEC member services representative to email or print the barcode for your electric account, or you can go can click here to get your barcode. (You will need your account number to retrieve your barcode online). Once you have your barcode, you can show it to the clerk at any participating store and specify the amount you would like to pay. Your payment will immediately be applied to your electric account.

Pay with Kiosk

Our Kiosk is available 24/7 in the front entrance of the Sanford office, Enterprise office and at the office in Samson.


Go Pre-Pay with Flex Advantage

CEC members can purchase a set amount of kilowatt-hours in advance and avoid delinquent fees and deposits for service. System alerts notify the member when their kilowatt-hours are getting low and they can call CEC 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to purchase more. To learn more about Flex Advantage, click here.


Paperless billing

CEC members can register their account online by clicking here and choosing the option to go paperless and receive their statements via email.


Translation Services Available

CEC offers translation services to people with Limited English Proficiency at all CEC offices.
