CEC encourages cancer survivors to attend Relay For Life of Covington County April 26

CEC will serve as the Survivor Sponsor at the 2019 Relay For Life of Covington County and they are inviting all cancer survivors to be their special guest at a dinner held in their honor during the event. The location for Relay has changed this year and will be held the Springdale Estate in Andalusia (across from the post office) on Friday, April 26. Registration of survivors will begin at 5 p.m. at the Survivor Tent. Opening ceremonies will start at 6 p.m. with a survivor lap to follow. The survivor dinner should begin around 7 p.m. Relay has been totally revamped this year not only with a new location but also with the activities. Teams will host carnival type booths with food and games. The luminary ceremony is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m.

CEC has a Relay team again this year, the 20th in a row, and they will be selling fresh popcorn and operating a corn hole competition for small prizes. CEC is also serving as a sponsor of Relay events in Coffee, Crenshaw and Geneva counties this year.
