2026 CEC Virtual Annual Meeting will be LIVE on April 2 at 3 PM!

The 2026 CEC Virtual Annual Meeting will take place on Thursday, April 2 at 3 p.m., and will be broadcast on the CEC Facebook page and will be uploaded to our website and YouTube channel shortly thereafter. Annual meeting ballot packets will be mailed to all CEC members with active electric accounts at the beginning of March. Each packet contains the candidates’ information and a voting ballot. The deadline to vote by mail or online is March 31. All members who vote in this year’s trustee election will receive a $10 bill credit and be entered for a chance to win up to $2,500 worth of bill credits! Please remember that we will NOT accept ballots at any CEC office.

The virtual format enables more CEC members to participate in the annual meeting through mail-in or online voting and hear up-to-date information about the cooperative from the comfort of their homes or elsewhere. At the in-person annual meetings only 5%-7% of members voted, while in stark contrast, voting participation with the virtual format is between 22%-28%. Members still have a great opportunity to visit with CEC staff, board members and employees during the Member Appreciations Days which take place annually at each CEC office in October. As always, CEC members are welcome to express their thoughts or concerns relating to co-op business anytime by contacting CEC directly by phone, email, chat or office visit.

During this year’s broadcast, we’ll highlight our business operations from 2025, discuss industry challenges, share financial reports and provide the latest information on Buzz Broadband.
