Misprint in April edition of Alabama Living – Water Heaters are $250

Please note that the Spring into Energy Efficiency article in the April edition of Alabama Living magazine, pages 6-7, contains an unfortunate misprint. CEC sells water heaters at a discounted price to its members for $250. The amount that was printed ($150) is incorrect. Anyone needing to purchase a water heater from CEC will pay the correct price of $250. We apologize for any confusion. Thank you.

We enjoyed connecting with our members

CEC held its very first Member Appreciation Days in October at our two office locations in Sanford and Enterprise, and we could not have asked for better weather. We chose the month of October to host these events because it would coincide with National Cooperative Month, which is a great time to learn what makes cooperatives unique and why their business model based on seven cooperative principles is so important.

We had a great turnout at both member appreciation events allowing our employees to engage with our members face-to-face in a relaxed setting. Attendees received a complimentary CEC 80th Anniversary ice cream scoop and other free goodies. They also had the opportunity to chat with team members from the Buzz Broadband office and our member services department.

These celebrations enabled CEC to show our appreciation to the member-owners of this co-op for your support. We could not successfully provide the critical services that we do without your cooperation and guidance. For some, this was the first time they’ve ever been to one of our offices or attended a CEC function. We had a combined total of about 450 people to attend both events. We were pleasantly surprised by these numbers and we plan to seek more ways to increase member engagement. Thank you to all of our employees who organized and worked these events and a special thank you to the members who were able to stop by and say hello.
