CEC and Buzz Broadband will be open for in-person business earlier in the mornings and later in the afternoons.
Covington Electric Cooperative and Buzz Broadband are committed to putting our members’ needs first, even when that means changing the way we operate. Beginning Jan. 15, 2024, CEC and Buzz have extended office hours four days a week. Anyone needing to conduct in-person business with the co-op will be able to visit our offices in Sanford and Enterprise from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday. The Buzz office in Opp will also be open during this time. These hours will apply to our lobbies and drive-up windows. CEC and Buzz will be open every other Friday from 7 a.m to 4 p.m., and be closed every other Friday beginning Jan. 26, 2024.
According to CEO Mark Parker, the change in office hours will be helpful to CEC members. “Our members will be able to conduct face-to-face business with the co-op a little earlier in the mornings and a little later in afternoons,” said Parker. “We’re excited about this new plan to offer extended hours for business while also providing a little more flexibility to our employees for personal appointments, tasks, etc.”
As always, CEC’s after-hours call center will be available to handle outages and emergency needs, and operations crews will be on call to respond to outages at any time, regardless of office hours, weekends or holiday closings. CEC members can still take advantage of round-the-clock member service through our automated phone service, website or our interactive kiosks located at the Sanford, Enterprise and Samson offices.
The CEC mobile app is also a convenient way for members to monitor their electric use, see billing activity, check our outage map, and pay bills. To download our free mobile app, search for Covington Electric Co-op in the Apple or Google Play store.
