CEC was excited to volunteer at the first Touch A Truck event held at the South Alabama Regional Airport to help raise funds for the Foster Parent Association in Covington County! The event raised $1,525 from donations at the gate! A special thank you to Dave Morris, CEC’s warehouse/purchasing manager who filled in for the two linemen who were scheduled to be there, but were called out to work power outages instead due to stormy weather that day. If you would like to learn more about our state association for foster and adoptive parents and how you can help support them, please visit their website at https://afapa.org/. Thank you.
H2O Water Heater Participants: PowerSouth has initiated a peak shaving event for CEC members with load control devices on their water heaters. It will take place on Feb. 1 from 6:30 AM – 8:30 AM. Members who signed up to participate in the H2O program received a discounted water heater at the time of purchase and understand the benefit of this program which is to help shave power consumption during high peak demand periods. The H2O participants should have adequate hot water stored in their tanks for normal usage during this time. We appreciate the cooperation of our H2O participants during this peak shaving event. Thank you.
