IMPORTANT NOTICE:

H2O Water Heater Participants: PowerSouth has initiated a peak shaving event for CEC members with load control devices on their water heaters. It will take place on Feb. 1 from 6:30 AM – 8:30 AM. Members who signed up to participate in the H2O program received a discounted water heater at the time of purchase and understand the benefit of this program which is to help shave power consumption during high peak demand periods. The H2O participants should have adequate hot water stored in their tanks for normal usage during this time. We appreciate the cooperation of our H2O participants during this peak shaving event. Thank you.

Always call 811 before you dig

Covington Electric Cooperative would like to remind all residents to call 811 prior to any digging project to have underground utility lines marked. When calling 811, homeowners and contractors are connected to the local Alabama 811, which notifies the appropriate utility companies of their intent to dig. Professional locators are then sent to the requested digging site to mark the approximate locations of underground lines with flags, spray paint or both.
